Mediums. Lows work too with more cheek weld.So many using the Maven rs1.2, whats the best UM rings height on a Tikka? Say stockys VG or a Rokstock?
Also depends on barrel profile. Unless itās a real heavy barrel lows would be my choice. So many using the Maven rs1.2, whats the best UM rings height on a Tikka? Say stockys VG or a Rokstock?
Iām using lows over the PBB hybrid light and have plenty of clearance. So many using the Maven rs1.2, whats the best UM rings height on a Tikka? Say stockys VG or a Rokstock?
Itās a toss up between folks liking mediums or lows. Iād buy both if you can and then sell or return the other set.So many using the Maven rs1.2, whats the best UM rings height on a Tikka? Say stockys VG or a Rokstock?
No.Thanks guys. Was trying to get some info before the sale ends? Are the premiers worth the upgrade since it has a level?
Sorry not trying to derail the thread , trying to get my .243 up and running.

I have lows and mediums. I think I prefer the mediums and are necessary when running a CF barrelSo many using the Maven rs1.2, whats the best UM rings height on a Tikka? Say stockys VG or a Rokstock?

905 yards with the 6 UM 2035 impact velocity. 115 dtac
Shot twice. But I thought both were hits. Maybe I hit the first one perfectly. Then clean missed the second just before he fell over. Both felt good. Both times he reacted. Either way I'll take the one perfect shot from 905 yards.

It's been fun to follow along with your success in this thread. I'm curious about the logistics of handling all the meat while you're kicking ass over those three weeks. Do you find time to process it between the hunts, or drop it off at processors?21 days. Hunts in 3 states. 10 kills.
The 6 Creed got a much deserved detailing and ācleaningā.
Bolt pulled and wiped clean. Firing pin assembly inspected and cleaned. Lightly oiled the bolt.
Chamber and throat blasted out with brake clean and scrubbed.
Blood prints and grime cleaned off the stock. Used a very light bristle brush and some water/baby soap. Got everything pretty much off.
Scope body cleaned and glass dusted off and then cleaned with alcohol wipes.
Supressor removed and dumped free of carbon and air compressor used to blow clean. This is the US Reaper 6.5 in orange for those wondering.
See @Formidilosus you can kill stuff and still keep your rifles looking nice
Sorry @huntnful nothing went down the barrel other than bullets

My truck/trailer is a mobile meat processor and Iām also able to live/camp out of it if needed. I have very large coolers and seemingly endless frozen one gallon water jugs as ice blocks. This setup can hold deboned meat or even quarters for days or weeks if needed. I also have a generator and small chest freezer setup to be able to freeze meat hard and re-freeze the ice blocks. It's been fun to follow along with your success in this thread. Man! Not to clutter up this thread, but you should post one about that rig! I'd love to see some pictures of the setup! My truck/trailer is a mobile meat processor and Iām also able to live/camp out of it if needed. Iām also lucky to have spots/folks where I can borrow freezer space as needed as well.
Landowners, family members, friends in other states all benefit from the kills with meat if desired. Usually half or more of the meat stays in the home state of the animal.
Sure. Iāll try to get something posted this week before I leave for a hunt on Thursday.Man! Not to clutter up this thread, but you should post one about that rig! I'd love to see some pictures of the setup!
