6mm /.243 hunting success on Big Game

I missed the online restocks for the 95 TMK’s. But I got lucky yesterday at my local gun shop and found 3 boxes on the shelf!

Any recommendations on Peterson vs Alpha brass?
I’ve never used Alpha, but I’ve heard good things. I have Peterson for a couple cartridges and would not hesitate to get more of them.

Success today with the 6x45! My daughter has always been highly opposed to recoil so we built this up and she shoots it well and shoots quite a bit. Shooting the 85 grain game king at 2640. Right at the very edge of comfort for how far I would want her to shoot. 326 yards. Perfect shot. No exit. Top of heart and one lung mushed.IMG_2716.jpegIMG_2713.jpegIMG_2711.jpeg

Outstanding work congrats to the young lady!

There is just something about that round that intrigues me. I need to thin the heard!!

Grizzly-4/5 years old
108 Berger EH impact at 1925ish
3 impacts
2 thoracic - one exited, one didn’t get though the offside hide(didn’t find this bullet)
1 high shoulder hit that ended up in the spinal canal at occiput/C1(pictured bullet found when removing the skull)
Pictures of exit side and a lung with both bullet thoracic wound channels. I thought I got better pictures of all of the holes but I wasn’t holding the phone.

What cartridge?

I figured it was either a short barrel, longer distance, or a 6 ARC. A 6 ARC gas gun with 108's would make pretty good bear medicine in a defensive case.

I agree they would work well especially at high impact velocities. Even at low velocity after the first shot it was clear that it wasn’t going far.

Very similar to the performance I witnessed last year with 3 different 112mb kills. 2950mv, kills were 300-475y. Didn't see major upsetting as others have found. 7.5tw barrels.
I can't say that I'm unhappy with the performance, but I did expect more violent fragmentation as well based on what I've read here.

To me, it looked like about 2" of neck length and then a roughly 2" wound channel through the other side and out. An evening thunderstorm kept me from having enough time to open up the chest cavity and get a look.

I think I'm gonna take them with me and try them on a cow elk in a couple weeks.

@khuber84
Have you killed anything with the 95tmk?
Waffling around shooting the 95tmk or 108eld for elk.
I loaded them in an 18in Tikka 6cm for a buddy 2 years ago, I tested rl15.5, and settled at 3080mv jumping around 30k(never found psi till over 3200mv), they shot decently, under moa for 10 rounds. Idk what he's killed with them. I have a bunch of test rounds loaded for my 21" 6gt for when I get home on the 1st to test out. I'm hoping for somewhere in the 3000-3050mv range. I'll be putting them through everything but elk this year if I get them shooting, if not it'll be the 109 eldm from a 6cm.
