6CM Loads

Getting a barrel @hereinaz , and I am wondering what ammo I can/should go with. I am in Cali, so need a non-lead. I would prefer NOT to hand load this one. At this time, I see these as my options:

None of these legal in Cali

• 108 ELDM from UM ... a bit more $, but expect the consistency to be there
• 108 ELDM Factory ... seems that this is now in the "hit or miss" category
• 112 Match Burner ... Form said these not bad ...

For Cali?

• Get someone to handload a 95 DRT
• Use the 95g LRX?
• ????

I prefer fragmenting monos over ones that mushroom. I would also be less confident in sufficient wound channel from a copper in a small caliber. I’m definitely not saying they won’t kill, but I feel like the limitations are stacking against you more.

I’ve not used monos in a 6mm, but was successful and had great results from a Hammer HHT in 308.

The factory barnes 95 LRX shot well enough in mine. Not sure what else is out there for non-lead.

Been looking into this for a minute for a build I have coming up. The McGuire Copper rose looks like where I'll be starting. There or the 88 grain hammer hunter
