So I took my rifle into UM to see if they could help me figure it out. After they dove into it, they said that the chambering wasn’t concentric to the bore and recommended a new barrel. I’m having a hard time ponying up another $600 and a 6 month wait. Especially as this barrel is crazy accurate for the few shots I’ve shot. Just always showed pressure. So I’ve asked them to ream just a whiff, to see if that will drop the pressures “just enough”.
The other concern they have with the PBB is that they said that they’ve had some experiences in which the barrel isn’t a true 6mm bore (slightly under bored) at spots. And this can cause pressure spikes. So that will be the next investigation for me. And if that’s the case, then the barrel is no bueno. I guess we will wait and see. I don’t think it’s a load issue as much as it’s a barrel issue for me.

I know last year going into the 6 UM rabbit hole I read that UM doesn't like having many people reaming this chambering. I'm hoping this isn't my issue since it's the same batch of barrels. And because I have another brand new one waiting in reserve. Worst case I've still got life on my Benchmark and can use that this season.
I'll try and hit the range soon with the UM and see if the bolt runs any smoother.
First issue I did have was oil in my chamber. Cleaned that out and seemed to help. Obviously I know.
