6 UM Reloading Thread

I've seen anywhere from 600 to 800 round count for barrel life on the 6um. I'm wondering how many reloads ppl get from the adg brass. I want do a 6um30. Just trying figure a rough estimate on how many pieces of brass to get to cover my barrel life.

I’m getting an average of 5 firings of 6UM/40 before retiring them. So far it’s all been 6.5 saum brass I’ve resized and fire formed. Not sure if the ready to load 6/30 might go another firing

Seems like guys are successfully running 3400fps in longer barrels with a 7.5 twist. That’s 326k rpm but I doubt the 115s will take much more rpm’s than that in a worn barrel.

I’m currently a little north of 3,400 fps and was just wondering how they will like that when the barrel gets a little rough.

Well I’ve had a positive experience with the 25cal 131ACE also made made Sierra.
One of my barrels had 1320rounds on it running 3170fps in a 7twist which is also 326k rpm. And I’m still running that bbl just shortened it.

Not exactly Apples to apples but might ease your mind a little.

That'll do. I must have induced some error to that one. Best 100 yard 10 shot group I've ever shot.
22". Ryan said I must have a slower lot of n570.
Not sure about that first shot at 3164.
I shoot prone in a piece of state ground. Sometimes I'll have grass in the way. I deleted that shot for an average of 3218.
