I got my dies last week and with Thanksgiving travel I only had a little time Sunday to work on loads.
Once my dies were setup I took 3 cases to run through load development, and continued reloading for my torture test.
They're at 8 reloads now without annealing and going strong

I've only tried 3 powder so far, H1000, 4831SC, and N555.
I'm just using standard large rifle primers (Fed 210).

Here's where I'm at so far with 115 Bergers:
54 grains H1000- 3012 fps with an SD of 12, cloverleaf 5 shot group at 100, slight bolt lift no ejector marks.

51 Grains N555- 2995 SD 5.8
Photo of 6 shot group, no pressure signs.

Cool cartridge, would consider if lapua made brass for it with zero extra work needed

Haha yeah if only they were taking orders..
I'm loving the effortless accuracy, can't wait to get my 25 SAS barrel in the next month or two.
I'll run it for NRL matches this season

Awesome! Thank you! I need another project like a hole in my head but I’ve got a barrel, brass and an extra stock to start :)

And a wheelbarrow full of H-1000 in the cabinet 🤪
Nice!
Manson got my 25 SAS reamer to me in like 3 weeks, I think it was because they were tooled up already since it's the same dimensions as the 6 that they'd made.

McGowen just called me this afternoon to clarify a few details before chambing, should get it in two weeks!
Nice, I did pretty much the reverse of what you did with yours. Started with the 25 and now I'm looking at doing a 6mm version.

Would be pretty cool to get a reamer back as fast as you did.

How much difference is there between this, which I think is really cool, and a 243 AI?
They're totally different cases with the SAS being a magnum, neck length is much shorter on the 243, and the oal will be a little longer.
No idea velocity wise

To start off with, congrats on this great lil case design! I like it, got some questions......

1. In my experience with necking down cases, I've found the neck to grow in length a bit. You state you're trimming approx 20 off the prc case. Most these come around 2.010/2.015 depending on ADG VS lapua. After necking down and running mandrel could be longer. You max chamber length is 1.975, are you getting some crush fit interference at this dimension?

2. How long did it take to get a full length sizing die made? Did you have to get a resizing reamer made by Manson as well? I know reamers can take some time to get.

3. Would you allow a smith to rent your reamer? My smith runs a CNC lathe, he's very good at what he does, always pre-drills with his own special design cutters that clean up the majority of the chamber before reamers has to do any work.

I have no idea why I'm so interested in this case, I need another cartridge to load for like a hole in my head but it's very intriguing.

The more I think about this the more I feel like I need to dabble in this. If it wasn’t for the brass prep I’d already be in 😂 plan to tag along for updates for now

I’m curious what the 109s could do here as compared to my GT.
