6 PRC reloading

As a guy whose never reloaded a single round in his life, would it be completely stupid to jump into a wildcat like the 6prc? Or should i learn on something "normal"?
Is there much, if any difference in processes once original brass is sized?
6 PRC is very straightforward regarding handloading. If you can't learn as you go with a 6 PRC, you won't learn as you go with anything else.

Update- turning the die and extra 1/2 turn made a difference and about half close with no resistance and the other half close with some resistance but significantly less. I think I’m good enough to load up some and see what happens when I shoot and try to reload it.

If any of you guys haven’t posted your load for 116s I think this would be the right time to do it.

Do your fired cases chamber with no resistance? You can see this problem when sizing die and chamber aren't a good match. Couple of things to look at is how much you die is sizing the body/shoulder junction, usually .003 to .004 is plenty. Also can check how much the cases are growing in case length. Shouldn't be seeing much length growth with a 30 degree shoulder case. It darn sure could be your press is flexing a bit. Looking at your pics it looks like the neck bushing is leaving some ridges on your case necks. Bushing may need a good cleaning and polish.
