Which one in more comfortable? Will be used in the northwoods of Wisconsin and Black Hills in South Dakota.

The Explorer Light is solid! I’ve put several miles on my pair this year and no complaints. Comfortable and very supportive.

Second vote for the explorer lights. I'm impressed with the build quality and comfort. I've not tried the summit boot, but have worn other Hoffman boots for 13 years and all of them have been comfortable. If they fit your feet, I don't think you can go wrong or be disappointed with either!

The explorer light has a stiffer sole than the summit. Id describe the Summit as a semi-stiff sole and the explorer light as stiff. I have both boots and for most purposes prefer the Summit (note- I do like flexure soles in my boots and have no problem hunting mountain in trail running shoes if its dry).

For steep, rugged country a stiffer sole is nice especially when side hilling.

As far as rugged, tough and comfortable boots I have found nothing like Hoffman boots.

With the upcoming labor day sale, I was wondering if anyone else has any opinions between the two? Explorer vs Summit which one would you chose for everyday wear, work or hunt.
