My 18" benchmark is sitting about 2820 with alpha brass, H4350, and 109 Hornady's after 100 rounds or so. Pushing it to 2900 showed the occasional pressure signs so I backed off and will shoot this load for hunting. Will see if it speeds up any more.

That is closer to what Ive seen with my 18" benchmark as well. Have a fresh 18" PVA ready to compare soon.

My new PVA throated 18” 7 tw. bbl is getting a load developed right now.

120 rounds (110 factory Hornady to break it in) in and I’m getting 2960 fps with 112 MB’s, H4350 and Alpha OCD brass.

Barrel was only cleaned when received, before first round fired, and has never been fired without a Scythe-Ti attached.
Dang that’s impressive! Where I hunt that’s a 10mph gun out to 500 yards and is still over 1800fps past 1000. After I shoot my current barrel out with 109s I’ll be switching over to these.

My AnTi X action will create slight ejector marks even on light loads or factory ammo. In fact the 108 ELD-M factory was giving me heavy-ish bolt lift yesterday. My load of 43.5 of H4350 only gives slight ejector marks and no sign of heavy bolt lift like the factory ammo was. Shooting in 65-70 degree temps, which is the warmest I’ll ever be using this load and rifle in.

The great thing about the Garmin C1 is that I always have it with me when I’m out shooting. I’ll be able to monitor in real time when the barrel starts to speed up more, around 150-200 rds with my other PVA barrel, and back off if needed.

How are the 112 MB's on game?

Anyone have any experience with the PVA 16.5" 7 twist shooting 108's?
@wind gypsy ? My friend has 20" 7tw 6cm with factory getting 2792. I have a 24" 7tw 6cm getting 2870. Id guess you'd be in the ballpark of 2720 off our velocities Ours seems slow tho but we are on our first box of ammo maybe these will speed up? I'll try another lot next time. PVA prefits for Tikka.

Low 2700s seems like a good guess for factory 108s.

i tried a new lot and cleaned with patches and solvent (1st cleaning) and im at 2970 now which what i expected . I dont know if it was the new lot or the cleaning but its improved. the marring on the bullets when cycling disappeared too after the cleaning. it shoots fine too.
