I'm out of town now and would have to look. I think it was likely 29.5gr LVR seated to 2.260 COAL with a 108M at 91 degrees. This is in an 18" gas gun. The other 4 rounds of the same load showed extractor and plunger marks but primers weren't blown.

I have a Tikka in 6 ARC. UM chambered and installed the 20" Ace barrel. My current load averages 2744 FPS:
- 30 gr of Staball Match
- 108 ELD-M
- Starline Brass
- Federal 205M

This is the rifle and this is a 5 shot group. I'm going to work up a load for it with the 107 TMKs. View attachment 1054205

20” Howa mini starline once fired fed205, Staball match work up. First pic shots 1-2 26 gr, shots 3-4 27 gr, shots 5-6 28 gr, second pic 1-2 29 gr, 3-4 30 gr. All loaded to about .090” off lands which is getting close to scraping the magazine with tips. Coal is 2.325”. Wanting to get 2700 out of them. Shot at about 85 F roughly 120 ft above sea level. I’ll post a pic of brass later. Thinking to try 30.5 gr and if no signs load 10 to go group. Shot all these into dirt for velocity and pressure check.

Edited to add pics of 29gr and 30gr brass. Anybody see anything concerning for trying 30.5gr?

Shot up to 30.5gr with 107tmk. I think it’s pushing pressure. Had couple ejector swipes at 30gr out of 10 rounds fired but none in a pressure test at 30.5 with 2 rounds fired. Kinda weird. All rounds shot same time this morning. 10 round group wasn’t much to get excited. I’ll edit in a bit with pics but definitely over 2 inch group at 100. Think I’m gonna back down to 29.5gr and see if accuracy improves. If not, try some different powders. Really wanted 2700 out of my 20” Howa mini, don’t think it’s gonna happen with Staball match without pushing to the limit. Pic shows chrono data from 30 gr string. This is the first 10 round group I’ve ever reloaded, so I’m sure I may be limiting factor on some of this but was pretty happy with SD.

Edit: added pic of group. Wasn’t quite as bad as I thought but think it can get better will keep tinkering.

My Tikka in 6 ARC did not shoot either of those very well seated .035 off. I may try them at .050 but the 109 ELD-Ms shoot a .18 mean radius so I'd only be tinkering for the sake of tinkering.

Gonna work up a load for 95 TMKs using Sierra’s published load data with 8208 for a bolt gun (Tikka). Will also do it for the 107s and post here about it. Was gonna jump them both 0.035” but @YaakRiver sound like that wasn’t great for you? Anyone else had a similar experience?

I started at .025 but only the 108 ELD-Ms grouped well there. I really wanted the 109 ELD-M, 105 VLD Hunting or the 107 TMK to shoot well so i loaded them all up at .035. The 109s shot a .18 mean radius at that depth but the 105s and 107s were still 1.5” groups.

I’d suggest starting at .050. My brother shoots the 116 TMKs and said that they start grouping well at .050 or more.

I loaded up 5 of the 116 TMKs at .070 off the lands to see how they’d do. 29 gr of Staball Match had them running 2644 and this was the group at 100 yards …
