6 ARC on elk

Anyone used 6 ARC for elk? Hoping my niece will draw a youth tag this fall but because of undiagnosed celiac for a few years she’s a little small for her age. I’ve got a Howa already, interested in what loads worked for you. Max range would probably be 150 or so.

Also should mention I do reload so can load heavier for bolt action

Shouldn't be an issue. I took a cow elk this weekend in an open area where shots are often long using my 6.5 PRC. Now that I have elk meat in the freezer, if I have another weather window I'll take my 6 ARC to fill another tag. My 6ARC is good to 550 with factory 103 ELDX so your self imposed limit is good to go.
