6.5 PRC what bullets we using?

My 6.5 PRC shot the 147 ELDM much better than the 156 Berger factory ammo, and the ELDM is much cheaper, so it's what I've gone with. Terminal performance has been great from 40 - 450 yards for me so far with my limited sample size. I'll be carrying it on all my hunts this year.

I wanted to shoot the 143 ELDX, but I had a hard bolt open and close, for some reason the 147 ELDM is not causing that issue. Will be first year hunting with rifle.

I have used 3 different bullets in multiple 6.5 PRC rifles. The 127 LRX, the 147 ELDM, and the 156 EOL all have shot well and killed easily from antelope to elk. If you're a shoulder shooter and hunt mostly sub 500 yards, I'd use the 127 LRX. If you are a lung shooter or like the head/neck shot, the 147 ELDM performs greatly and can be found cheaper than the other 2 bullets. If you like to be able to shoot shoulders, lungs, or head shots I think the 156 Berger is where it's at.

I shot a box of 130gr TMK. Good to go and killed a bunch of deer but I wanted to shoot heavies in this caliber. I feel like that's the only point of having it at all is to move 147's and 156's properly.

I shot around 250 147 ELD. Killed a bunch of deer and a moose.

I just switched to 156 EOL to go thru the rest of 2 boxes I picked up while planning for a moose hunt. Rezero'd and everything and then just found 50 more 147 ELD loaded so I'm going slip turrets back and use those for a bit and then pull the barrel to work on something else.

If I come back to it, I'll come out the gate with the 156 EOL but only because they're here.

I like H1000 better than N565. It seems more accurate and goes thru a powder drop better.

I put it all here when I was messing with it:
