6.5 PRC short barrel (16.5”) load reconnaissance

Reloading fam,

Built my wife a short 6.5PRC for her HNT26 chassis. 16.5” Proof with the 1:8 twist.

Looking to see if anyone has reloaded for something similar. I’m not worried about using the heavies like the 147 and higher class bullets. This is mainly a deer or bear gun if I steal it for a pack in hunt. I’m leaning toward trying the 130CX and the 137 Hammer Hunter.

I have plenty of ingredients for loading just looking for any luck on here before I move forward with handloads as far as powder selection for the short tube.

Neither one of those bullets but ran a 140 grain Berger vld at 2825fps with h1000 out of a 17” barrel.

N560 worked great in my 20" with the 140's.

Did you find a load? I have an 18” with a 7.5 twist and have some 130/135’s and 156 bergers. Also would love the 130 TMK to be shooters
