6.5 prc clicker

Both my 6.5PRCs have chambers reamed with wide base reamers. I have never had the clicker issue with either rifle with no sizing other than a Forster or Area 419 FL die. My 7PRC and 300PRC have SAAMI spec chambers. I have used the Cortina sizing mandrel for both every time I size my brass. First a Forster or Area 419 FL die pass, then the a pass in the Cortina die. I use Peterson (7PRC) and Lapua (300PRC) brass. I have 7 resizes on my 7PRC brass and 3 on my 300PRC with no clicker issues.
I follow this process and since the addition of the cortina die I have not experienced clickers in my 6.5 PRC or my 7PRC. The cortina die sizes the are that cause the clicker and it will be easily seen once you run the sized brass through the die.

Maybe. It didn’t size any lower for me and I still had clickers.

Update, Lapua brass after 5 or 6th, lost track started giving me some good clicks. I'm going to run them through the cortina die twice and see if I can get another load or two from them. I'd hate to shelf the brass since the pockets are still tight, might just ream the chamber

I didn't start doing this until the brass had been fired at least 3 times. It was very obvious on the the bras the cortina die did some work. You could also tell on the stroke on the press it was doing work.

I don’t doubt you. It was also just equally obvious it did absolutely nothing for me beyond what my Redding type S already did.

All I’m saying is, it’s no silver bullet.

I had the same problem with factory Tikka. Manual application with AW2 reamer fixed all my problems. I use Redding die for resizing.

Kampfeld Customs will also do it for a reasonable price.

I would find out which reamer they used first. Also do a little investigating by applying sharpie to fired case and running it through chamber. If problem is at .200, AW2 is likely your answer.
