Hey Guys,
I just picked up an new Browning X-Bolt 2 6.5 PRC Speed with the 24" barrel. I am just waiting for the scope to arrive so I can get to the range. My question is, I saw a recent Backfire review where he questioned the 1:7 faster twist of the X-bolt. Has anyone noticed any adverse effects from the 1:7 twist? I plan to shoot 156 EOL or 147 ELDM and was just curious on everyone's thoughts. Thanks!

Nothing said on that channel should be taken seriously. He's a lawyer and huckster, not an engineer, ballistician, or gunsmith, and his knowledge base reflects that.

Going from 7.5 to 7 twist won't negativity affect anything unless you're running extremely high velocities with light bullets (under 120gr)

I have the 2 x bolts with same thing. No issues with accuracy with both the 147s and 156s. The 1;7 is made for the heavier bullets so I’d pick 147 minimum. You have the twist so might as well use it. Sure you can go lower if you want as well.

I was thinking the same thing, I want to go as heavy as reasonably possible. Thanks for the feedback!
