6.5 PRC - 140, 143, 156

I'm looking for opinions on the 140 Berger, 143 ELDx, 156 Berger. My 6.5 PRC shoots them all well. This will be a mule deer and whitetail sized game gun and I have all in my inventory.

I would go with the 143 ELDX, not 6.5 PRC but run those bullets in two 6.5. Creedmoor's one a Ruger bolt gun and the other a Stag arms AR both rifles do well with these.

Similar situation with Elk as the goal. I think I settled on the 143 eldx. The 140 vld I think I would prefer but harder to get.

All things considered I probably see more consistency with the 140's vs the 156 but I shoot them both. If I had to choose I'd say the 140's especially for deer sized game.

Shoot the bullet that shoots the best that you have the most of... they all kill.
I've killed animals with all 3, couldn't tell a difference with any of them

I've had great luck with the 143 eldx on white tails mule deer and elk. Haven't had the chance to test the others
