Anyone build one? Looking to pick the brain off someone who has some experience with this particular build! Thanks

I've built 2 so far for customers. I feel it's an underrated cartridge. Odin Works out of Boise have some really good Grendel bbls/BCG's at awesome price points with a 1 moa guarantee.

I put one together but wouldn't say built one. Got a complete upper through Alexander Arms.

I did it about a year ago and haven't fired it once. Probably will sell it.

What barrel length, pics, and price? For the upper

I built one, machined my own lower, got the barrel from Lilja. Had some issues with the gas port and then also the bolt that Lilja recommends for their barrels, can't remember the make. Haven't dialed up any great loads yet, looking to shoot 123gr Amax, have some sub-MOA but no really great ones yet. Been so busy the last year or two I hunted deer with factory loads this year. I need to get back into it. Feel free to ask any questions and I'm happy to help if I can.

Cant vouch for the Grendel but a 6mmAR is a good option. Pretty good coyote medicine!
Its basically the Grendel necked to 6mm so fairly similar in feed/function but can shoot a 75 grain bullet with some decent speed.

I built one a few months ago, but have not bought the scope rings and scope yet, so I have not shot it. I went shooting long range with a buddy a few years ago and decided I wanted to start getting into it as well. My friend has been doing it for years and he shoots the 6.5 Creedmoor, but he thinks the Grendel gets you 80% of what the Creedmoor offers, but at 30% the cost to shoot. Mine was also way cheaper to build, but he sort of went crazy expensive with his Creedmoor.

Not sure what your timeframe is, but around Thanksgiving last year Midway-USA had some really good deals. I built mine for just under $1k (no scope) and $300 of that was just the AR-Stoner barrel and bolt. For the long range I do need a better trigger though, which can be done for around $200.

I am looking to do the same thing. I have a DPMS AR10 and looking to convert it into a 6.5 Creedmoor. I am looking at getting my barrel from Black Hole, is there any additional components I would need to get other than just doing a barrel swap.

I bought a 6x45 barrel and put on my AR this winter. Haven't got out to shoot any coyotes with it yet but I should have some kills with it this fall. Easy to reload for.
