What is everyones take on a Savage 6.5 Creedmore?
I have had 2(still have one) they have been very accurate, but really wish the one we have was a tikka instead. I over committed on the one we have (it’s my wife’s rifle) but it’s the ultralite in an xlr, so I spent too much to get rid of it. It has been a decent rifle, but I hate the accutrigger, it’s a lot rougher running, and the savage action is just fugly. Unless you get a really good deal, I would get a tikkaWhat is everyone’s take on a Savage 6.5 Creedmore?
Which model? If it’s an axis, then no. If it’s a 110 based model or similar then yes.I can get the Savage used in camo with a Banner scope for 365 is that a decent deal? Not mch on a Banner scope
Thank youYou might want to consider asking this question in the Firearms Forum on Rokslide instead of the General Discussion Forum.
Thanks for the imputSavages are fine, I like Tikka better but they seem to reliably go bang and are accurate enough for lots of uses. I wouldnt buy one, but when I buddy of mine was looking for a sub $500 gun I pointed him toward one.
i have a 300 win mag. I had surgery so wanting to down sizeI think I’d buy a 300 rifle and get an SWFA scope instead of that package
I agree 100%. Id rather have a 50.00 gun and a 100.00 scope. But I have a Leupold. Im looking at recoil after having brain surgeryI get that. In my opinion the scope matters more than the rifle and that banner scope you mention will not work well at anything unless you are shooting 50-100yards. I’d focus more on a scope you can afford than the rifle. I’d personally get a ruger American if you want to go inexpensive
