6.5 Creedmoor whitetail bullet

The 129 hornady's worked well on the one deer I shot with a 6.5 creed. The partitions would be my top choice though. Never seen them not work well but haven't personally tried them in a 6.5 creed.

Get some cortisone injections.....cures what ails you. Did that for 15 years before TKR's.

Had them done Friday morning. Still hobbling, but not as bad.

I don't think there is any need to load anything but a basic SP bust to kill a whitetail.

But, that is no reason not to have some reloading fun. Plus, I like the look of plastic tips vs exposed lead.

Tested so far:
140g TGK
143g Eldx
140g BTs

All performed great at 80-250yds. To be honest, it felt like cheating because accuracy was outstanding and the deer couldn't ru far without lungs.

If I get back to my 6.5CM, I plan to test some 127g LRX's.

I cannot imagine having gout in my knees. I got gout in my toe once and wanted to cut it off.

Running 143 ELD-x in mine and it does plenty well.
Have some 147 ELD-m just havent shot them enough yet.

Huge fan of 139 gr Lapua Scenar. Killed boat loads of stuff with my 260 and said bullet.

I’ve shot a couple of bucks this year with my 6.5 Creedmoor and 142 grain ABLR handloads. I’ve been really happy with them. Both bucks have been inside 100 yards.

No fans of the 120gr NBT?

I’m gonna mess around with some in a 18” barrel this spring, see if they’ll fly well. If so I might just use them for whitetails here.
