6.5 creed magnum

Yep, pretty much verbatim directly from them, no definitive answer but the part about no belts, no fat cases or mags due to bolt thrust, and no really older rounds like an 06 type, look for only the most popular rounds of the last 10/15 years, again not sure what that means given many of the most popular rounds are older, (3006 and family, 308 family,(300win or H&h cases are old and has belts.

Then there’s other somewhat popular cases like the prc family, but it falls in the fat case column so who knows, that rules out a lot of what I assume most would expect. I’ve heard 300 blkout but that kinda defeats the purpose of a 300 blkout.

Where was that I’d like to read or hear more of what was said.

I would breathe new life into my beloved Barrett Fieldcraft 30-06 if this PEAK tech comes to it and is actually accurate. I'd cut it, add shoulder, thread it, add one of the RR suppressors. For now it's just a relic of some great hunts in Canada. I guess I should keep some non-threaded Canadian rifles around, in case I'm lucky enough to hunt up there again.

Its like everything new, it will have growing pains and some revisions. The case is coated meaning they know about rust problems with the steel case.

My guess is we won’t see this in 30-06. There are too many older military actions running around that wouldn’t work with this technology, specifically the Garand.

I would be willing to bet money that if they do a 30 cal, it will be a 30-cal version of the 7 Backcountry, or some other proprietary cartridge that can’t be chambered in a 30-06 or 308.
