Guessing if its patented there are several different ones, likely focused on multiple facets of the project that have presnented design hurdles in the past, but I would imagine stuff like the particular way they fix the primer into the case, so it doesn’t blow out under such high pressure, maybe some of the processes in manufacturing, I don’t know. But steel cases have been in use for a long time, so I agree it’s not likely something simple, it’ll be something very specific around how they solved a particular problem, that might make it difficult for another company to replicate what they’re doing.They patented, what? An alloy case? Hard for me to see that sticking. All Hornady has to do is ever so slightly tweak the alloy and that would circumvent the patent. I’m not a patent lawyer…
