Well couldn’t not load up the ADG and play with it, I’m ready to hit the range and compare brass with similar loads. The ADG does compress the powder before the Hornady brass. I didn’t measure case capacity but I think there is a little less in ADG. My plan is to hit the range this weekend. Both using RL16 and CCI BR2 primers.

Careful with that case capacity difference.

What’s this?

That looks interesting. I literally just got a shipment from them yesterday. These were not on their site 3 days ago. That annoys me.

That seems like an unbelievable deal, seeing that Lapua brass is about $1 a piece and the 156 EOL bullets are $.55 a piece or so. Target Sports deal is $1.33 per round (plus shipping). What am I missing?

Interesting, 2680ft/s out of what length barrel I wonder. Great option for those that don’t reload! I’d be tempted to buy a box just to see what they do in my rifle for a baseline.

Well I broke 2700 with zero signs of pressure, no heavy bolt lift and here is the brass, lowest charges on left to highest on the right. I see no difference. Not going to lie not what I was expecting, fully expected to be pulling a few loads tonight. Had one failure to fire, not sure what I think about the CCI BR2 primers.

Best load was the last which of course I didn’t expect to get to, SD 5 ES 7 2,741ft/s avg. disclaimer you copy my shit and become ole one eye stubby that’s on you.

ADG loads are up next.

ADG is done, I only loaded up to a certain point and it was 1gr less then I loaded with Hornady. Highest load showed zero signs of pressure, pictured below (right side) is my highest load tested which came in with a ES 19 and avg velocity of 2720 ft/s. The ADG brass is showing around a 50ft/s increase in velocity over the Hornady at the same load.

I’m pretty much done testing and shocked at what I’m seeing. I’m going to start to only use the ADG brass and do a little more fine tune testing but doubt I go as stiff as I did with the Hornady even though that final load looks great it was only a 2 shot sample while the ADG is a 5 shot sample.

Also, I’m ditching the factory mag box which limits me to a 2.825 coal, I ordered up new bottom metal that will allow me to use the AICS mags with a 2.95 coal. Touching the lands my coal is at 2.935 and with the Berger jump I’ll have plenty of room to test seating.

Bottom metal is coming out of Australia but I’ll just single feed in testing.

2720ft/s Primer is a tad flatter but not flattened imo with a little more flow where the firing pin struck. No ejector marks or heavy bolt lift.

I see some cratering. Even on some of the lesser charge weights.

Yeah but it doesn’t grow much, it’s not enough to make me walk away. I do think I’ll blow primers first before anything if I kept going up.

I still have some factory Hornady Match 147 ELDM loads I’ll shoot next time I’m out to compare. That firing pin on the howa is huge compared to my LPA action, not sure if that matters but it’s twice the size.
