Since it's abundantly clear that I'm the "bud" to whom you are referring, I'll respond - I agree with you that "wokeness" is not a good look and disgraceful, but a little grace is not a bad or evil thing either. Some random thoughts are just better left unsaid and I simply suggested that OP's might be one of those. Respect for others has eroded and saying that nothing insulting has been said is pretty comical. Insult isn't just calling people inappropriate names. How about a Chinese national asking an American (like yourself) what it might look like when they become part of the hukou after the U.S. becomes the PRC's 23rd province? Thank goodness most use our neocortex to sort out what should come out of our mouths (or in the OP's case through one's fingertips) instead of just belching loudly in a formal social gathering. But, hey, this is the Internet and I suppose we all get to engage in drivel.
