Wish we could have been there to see him topple the big boy, but I have no doubt Ryan will get it done! Thanks again for an awesome time guys, hope you are staying warm and not burning too many holes in your gear we made it home safely and are both back to the work grind for now so I will be following closely and living vicariously!

48" is the magic number....here's my 48" WA shiras from a few years back. I probably passed up close to 50 as well, lots of little moose running around those woods!!

If it wasn't for bad luck, Ryan wouldn't have any!

I spotted a stud bull last night, about 35 minutes before dark. He was 48-50 wide with crazy fronts.

It was snowing like crazy and Ryan was a mile from me when I called him on the radio.

By the time he got to my position (he's not a runner) light was fading and he couldn't get a good shot off at the moose.

Heading back in now, but it's snowing like a beeeaaatch! Hopefully we have some vis at first light"

Fog was horrible all day yesterday, so we drove around for several miles.

It takes a lot of clothing to stay warm on a 4-wheeler and Razor!

Get a couple Thermacare heat wraps, the back kind. They work awesome for those cold rides or long sits glassing. I use 2 one on my back and one over my stomach when really cold. 12 plus hours of heat, I also use them to stay warm in my sleeping bag on cold night. Throw in the fire when done.

Rained/snow/sleet all day. Roughest weather of the trip!

Had a good bull in front of us this morning, but it was borderline acceptable, so Ryan passed. I got a few shots through the digi scope before the rain started, so I'll post them when I get home.

Did pass up a couple mule deer, but mostly due to possible issues with the moose we're trying to kill (4x4 mule deer was close to area bull feeds).

Heading back up to same area in the morning.

If the bull is in the same spot, should be a 150-250 yard shot....
