Anybody own a 4 Wheel camper? I have a very nice 25 foot Nash but it’s very big and I’m getting sick of dragging it around. Thinking about downsizing. I’ve owned a lot of campers and most are cheap junk. 4 wheel seems to make a nice product but at a premium for sure. Are they worth it?

I’m very interested in this as well. I’ve been looking for a good deal on the full size short bed model.

I currently use a Kodiak Canvas 10x14 flex bow, but am curious about the slide-in campers.

No experience with them, but was looking at this one as a more budget friendly option.

Also been interested in the 4 Wheel Camper. That Lone Peak Camper looks pretty awesome.

I have a hawk I have had for 7 or 8 years now. Started on a ram 2500 with a 5.7 gasser now on a 23 2500 Duramax. Great little camper. Spend 30-40 nights a year in it. Use it for hunting and towing boat to lake. Can go anywhere and held up to everything I’ve thrown out it. Well built. I sleep and eat in it with not a lot of hanging out. IMO not comparable to a tow behind, different kind of camper. Ideal for me at my time in my life but not for everyone.

I used one for many years. It was great. We took it all over the place and into some tight spots. Awesome for running and gunning. You could pop it up and lower it really quick. Mine was older and came before the lift supports they have now for raising the top. On a diesel truck you hardly knew it was there. I had the large extended bed up top and the winter liner. Liner doesn’t seem like much but it helped a fair amount. If I did it over again I’d get a shell and do a simple build out.
