It's an interesting and very practical discussion guys...my SO 4-man can sleep two for the night, but I've primarily used it solo and/or comfortably as a day shelter for two to get out of the wind/rain on extended/drop camp hunts...I really do like that tipi, especially with the wood stove going!
Side-bar: Excluding back-packing and mountain hunts, I don't know how you guys share a tent on extended trips! We always have separate 2-man tents that we use solo...and thankfully add the tipi on extended trips as mentioned. After way too many near sleepless nights, I reached a point quite a few years ago that I do not share a tent with anyone but a family member (excluding emergencies). I made one exception a few years ago and shared my SO 4-man with a friend on a very remote 10-day pack-raft float....never, never again. I slept with ear-plugs the first couple of nights, but bailed on that idea because it was stupid given that we were in an area truly loaded with grizzlies. At first light one morning midway through the trip a young boar was huffing right outside the tipi in unison with my friend's hellacious snoring...it was just 10yds from the tipi and bluff charged even closer when I stood-up through the unzipped top of the door with my pistol...but that's another story and I've already been off topic...my apologies to the OP. BTW, it ended well for me and the bear.
