3pin mover or 5pin fixed with 60lbs western style hunting ?

How would I shoot mid 290s, just lighter arrows? Broadhead? (I'm 28in draw btw) I do like a rear deploying mechanical which complicates things.

Most I would likely shoot confidently is 60. I do like if something was wounded I can shoot further with a mover but I kinda like how it limits me to my "effective range".
The 5 pin picture is a little annoying and I can definitely see myselff screwing up in the heat of the moment and shooting the wrong pin. Even practicing I have to double check myself for the 40/50 middle pins. I mostly hunt deer and mouflon sheep spot and stalk usually feeding or rutting with goal of an elk tage sometime in the future. you really have to get lucky to get inside 60 of the sheep. The 3 pin mover I have is .019 .019 and .010 bottom so it's kinda perfect using the bottom as a mover. I could sell it and probably get 300 for it and not sure the mover is really worth keeping at that price. I'm not getting much for my 5 pin

That's a good point about having a rovr that will let you get a longer follow up if needed. Hadn't thought of that
Yes. A lighter arrows would increase your speed. A different broadhead won't change speed much/any.
My original comment was intended to confirm that your current setup certainly seems plenty adequate and I would not base my sight choice on the fact that arrow speed is X fps. But on some of the other factors that have been mentioned.
When I switched from fixed to mover, i had all the same doubts. So I scheduled several 3d shoots, and shot both unmarked and marked distances with both sights and compared the shots and scores to get an idea of what I truly shot better with. If thats an option it can give you real world data to play with.

I’ve shot with one single pin set at 35 yds for dang near 40 years. If it’s over 50 I’m not going to shoot. I just practice and know what the gap is from 40-50 yds. 40 and under I aim right at the spot I want to hit. I’ve shot a single pin slider now for 13 years and I only move it if I take a shot past 50 during practice and that’s just for fun. Hunting it stays locked at 35.

If you dropped 30 grains of weight you would likely be shooting around 280, great speed and still enough ass for most broadheads and game. You can always switch up the broadhead if concerned with the arrow weight or targeting critters that might be an issue for penetration

I'm shooting 62#, with a 470 grain arrow going 268fps. I like the three pin slider at 20,30,40. My slide goes out to 100 for practice, but most hunting shots are under 40 anyway so I don't have to fuss with sliding in the field. I shot a 5 pin years ago and found it too cluttered.

Shot an archery Super Slam with a 5-pin fixed (20-60 yd on the 10's) through a major portion of it (40 years) and the last decade a 5-pin slider (20-60 yd as well). I paint the 50 yard pin stem fluorescent yellow, but use the 60 yd pin as the slider. If starting today I'd give up a few yds of max distance and aim with the 50 yd pin when moving sliding. But don't want to change up what has worked very well for me through the years and is ingrained in auto mode in the heat of the moment.
