I bought a won't mention in 7MM PRC and it is a lemon so I want to try again what would you buy if you had $3K, rifle only. Not really up to doing a custom at the moment due to time.

Current views Browning McMillan Pro, Springfield Boundary/Waypoint, Seekins, and Savage 110 Ultralite.

I've got one I'll sell ya. Tikka action, PBB 24" medium Palma barrel, MDT Oryx chassis, and Mount Tactical goodies including bolt handle, rail, and xl bolt stop. I love the rifle but I made it too heavy for the terrain I hunt. Shoots factory 180 ELDM at 2835 fps for me suppressed and shot a 4.5" three shot group for me at 755 yards. You'll still have 1k for a scope and rings.

I'd only sell it to build another one with a shorter lighter barrel profile that will fit into a stock. Might even just buy a stock and hog it out for this truck axle...

Seekins - I love my 300 prc from them.

If you can handle a 4 month lead time, I’d get a Tikka with rokstok from Unknown Munitions. I think they come in at like $2700.

That’s interesting to hear, I’ve had nothing but good experiences with UM. If you have concerns, but are interested, I’d recommend giving them a call on Monday to chat about a build.

I was surprised as well but both had major head spacing problems and their response was oh well. They had to take them to a local GS to correct the problem.

Seekins as long as your budget allows for a good scope on it. If money needs to be taken away from the rifle to get a better scope (up to like the $2,000 mark or so) I would do it in a heartbeat and not look back.

For the Seekins fans other then price and weight any first hand opinions on the Havak PH2? I kind of like the longer barrel and the Remington footprint.

Not personally, but my hunting partner loves his..

Let me guess you bought a fierce or christiensen..

I'm surprised no one has suggest the very high quality shot guns named Fierce?

Id go Seekins, for the money they're solid. Was planning on building a 6CM, but just going to go with a Seekins.

Between the two models, either or. If you wanted to change out the stock on them, id go with the PH2.

I have both. The only benefit of the element is weight and shorter barrel for suppressing. If you aren’t worried about weight and actually want a longer barrel, the ph2 is for you. PH2 bolt is smoother cycling as well.
