3D Printed Skulls?

That’s cool. I have a couple actual deer mounts that I wouldn’t mind turning into Euros to open up some wall space. That’d be perfect

Saw that but no mention of 3D skulls
Yeah the 3 companies suggested in that thread are all printed. Had I thought of it earlier I probably would have just sawed off both my Caribou antlers and made it way easier to get them home. Ill be considering this for my upcoming moose hunt.

Sheep would be the cool one...Im looking for skulls for the slam. I have a slam set all skull capped 2 I got the sheaths off the skull cap. The other two I will have to cut off and bore out the horn core.

Current good looking ones are $250-$400 per skull or anything cheaper looks like sh!t.

Any updated feedback on this?

Would save some weight on the pack out and hassle with brain matter when crossing state lines.

I would like to hear some reviews on these as well. Have a whitetail my hound got a hold of and now it’s just a skull cap with antlers on it 🤦🏼‍♂️

My wife printed the one on the wall for my biggest shed I ever found it’s incredibly detailed. Just regular white pla and a creality ender 3.

I am completely ignorant to 3d printers. What’s one cost that is capable of this? Cost for materials - each skill?

I assume it’s pretty easy to have it do this?
It is easy if you get a Bambu labs printer. They are easy to assemble and pretty much plug and play from there. I recommend the A1 printer not the A1 mini. You are looking at something like $5-10 worth of filament per skull.

I am not computer/tech savvy but have figured out enough to be dangerous. We have fun with it, but there are lots of practical applications.

There are times when official scoring won't be necessary and cutting off each antler may make transportation easier than skull capping. Is it as simple as taking three measurements to get a close approximation for reattachment to replica skulls? (Tip to tip spread, right tip to nose tip, left tip to nose tip).

Here’s a moose I did. It’s a deer size moose skull that I printed for a small bull I shot a few years ago. The skull broke when winching it out of a pond and the rack got hung up. It’s perfect for this little rack it makes it look huge! Lol.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could go to find a 3D printed Alaska-Yukon moose skull? I contacted Buck N Bull Skulls and, upon request, sent him pictures and measurements with the size skull that I would need, but haven't heard back from him since.

Thanks guys, I’ll check those places out. Bucks N Bulls is the only place I’ve contacted, and all my other searches have come up negative for moose skulls.

Here’s one I printed with the antlers from a little dead head my boy found. Also printed one for a euro mount for his antelope from last season. Just haven’t put the horns on it yet.
