I recently picked up a set of the Sig Zulu6 12x42 binoculars and ended up also needing a new bino harness since they were too tall to fit in my old AGC pouch. I got a Marsupial gear medium pouch setup based on recommendations here from a bunch of searches. Height wise they're a good fit but the pouch is wider than needed for these narrow binoculars. One of the other threads had a picture of a base that someone had 3D printed to hold the binoculars and give some extra storage. It was a good rainy day project to draw up and print, after a few revisions I ended up with a base that'll center the binos in the pouch and also carry a couple spare lithium AA's for the binoculars and spare CR2's for my rangefinder, along with a lighter.

Great minds think alike… I did one similar last year and have given the stl file to a bunch of members to print

Maybe yours is the one I saw a picture of that got me thinking about it. It's amazing what "problems" that we didn't know we had can be solved when you have access to CAD software and a 3D printer. I use mine all the time for random little stuff to make life easier.

Agreed! I don’t know how I got by without one! Unbelievable how useful they are!
I like your design with the full-size lighter. Mine uses a bic mini but rather than a “gas guard pillar” design, I wrap a rubber band around the lighter under the gas paddle to prevent accidental depression.

Would you be willing to share the stl file? I have these exact binos and would love to print a base for them.
