375 ruger

After trying a half dozen different powders and more than 20 different loads I think I've found the one I'll stick with for now. I'd like to thankyou guys for the advice and Steve that was a great write up and research you did over on CGN. That thread is the reason I decided to stay with the 250gr GMX for this bear season. 72gr's of H4895 with WLRM primers behind 250gr GMX bullets is cruising at 2755 fps. Considering the nonstop wind gusts the accuracy is acceptable. We have a winner.

Finally mounted my glass the TTSX 250Gr RL15 loads shot at best 4 MOA at 100 yds. I need figure out if its rifle or loads out fast, I wanted to be on the hillside tomorrow/next day chasing bears. I was sighting in the new glass on my wife's Ruger American 30.06 and dropping quarter sized groups at 100yds on random loads I found laying around my shop and so far I wouldn't trust my new $1000 Ruger Guide gun past 25 yds.

Picked up some TSX 300Grs, and loaded up 4, at sunrise I will wake the neighbors and see if this improves my situation any.

I'm shooting 83.5 gr of H4350 behind a 250gr TTSX in my Ruger Alaskan in .375 Ruger. Shoots moa and complete penetration on two moose so far.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you setting your COAL to? I still have about 20 TTSXs left and my give H4350 a shot also.

Not sure if its rifle or 375 Ruger round itself. But its very sensitive to load changes, I found today 1 grain of powder can open up the group 2 inches.

Put together quick acceptable load for my rifle, shoots right about 1 MOA.

300 GR Barnes TSX
66 GR RL15
COAL 3.300
2242 FPS out of 20 inch barrel with a muzzle brake.

It will work for me now, spring bear is here and I really don't have time work up a little hotter round or tighten the group up some more.

My Ruger Guide Gun in 375 Ruger is the least fussy rifle I own. I can feed it almost anything and it will shoot sub-MOA and POI does not move more than 1-2" at 100yds with all the loads I've tried. Even when working up to max loads I was shooting sub-MOA groups.
