For the 375 HH is the 250 TTSX the easy button? I have been shooting the 235 Cutting Edges very well out of my gun just wondering if it is enough for moose?

My dad will have his 300 wsm, he is shooting 200 ELDx accurately, any idea how these bullets would hold up to larger game?

I consider the 270gr the easy button....but my 375 eats just about everything well.

I’ve been lucky to shoot several moose with a 375HH and in my opinion, the “easy button” is the 250 ttsx and the 260g accubond.

I figured that would the consensus, luckily my gun shoots most things well.

Finding the 260 accubond is tough at times but I think its available.

I've handloaded 270 TSX's for my 375H&H for probably twenty-years because they shoot so well in my rifle. It is my go-to load for fall every year up here.

I've also had the good fortune to have taken many moose with that load (and several grizzlies). I prefer the excitement of calling bulls close to me, so most of my shots have been within a hundred yards +/-...a couple out to 200. All bullets entered, expanded, and exited the far side...a couple of exceptions where I recovered bullets that had lodged in bone tissue after traveling a good distance in the animal.

That said, if the 250 TSX shoots great out of your rifle and is readily available to you, I'm confident it will do the job with a well placed shot. Best of luck to you!

270 gr TSX in the 375 H &H , great moose medicine, 200 yard zero and only about 10 inches low at 300 yards.
Absolutely deadly on moose.

Yeah I like a 270gr ! I shot the 250gr hornday CX and it’s pretty sweet too
But 270 has a better S.D for dangerous African stuff

I’m not a huge fan of eldx ! But 200gr of mushy bullet is better than anything bonded if the gun doesn’t like them

I've shot moose with a 160 grain Cutting Edge Raptor out of a .358Win. and it punched through to the far side and stopped under the skin. I think that 235 gr. Cutting Edge would be "enough" no question. Only real downside I see would be the low BC if you need to shoot through wind.

I’ve killed a couple of moose with the 200eldx out of a .300wm. One at about 125 yards, the other 175. Both tipped over right where they stood and were dead fast. The bullets lost a little weight, but not much. I was pleased with their performance and have no plans to change anything.

Look over in the Firearms section. There's a 474 page Thread there of folks stating that a .223 is well suited for moose hunting. 🤣🤣

My 2 Montana Shiras bull moose were both one shot kills with 180 gr Nosler Partition bullets from my .30 Gibbs (an Improved .30-06 with .300 H&H velocities). Years ago I took a friend moose hunting here in Montana, and one bullet from his 7mm RM put his name in the B&C Record Book, Two years ago I killed an Alberta bull moose with a 180 gr TTSX bullet from my .300 Wby.

Put in the right place, I think that any bullet from your .375 H&H would easily kill a moose.

My son and buddy both killed there Shiras in Idaho this year with my 6ARC shooting 108 ELD-M. My sons was at 43 yards and my buddies at 604. Both died very quickly and were mature bulls.
