I have used a 338-08 then a 338Fed on a Remington 600 for decades and love it but I am switching to hunting suppressed. I could not see threading the barrel on the 600 so I had another one built on a stainless 700. 22” Pac-Nor #4 fluted barrel , Triggertech trigger, Hawkins Hunter DBM and a Pure Precision Altitude Stock. Suppressor is a Diligent Defense DTF STi. It is 7lbs 11oz without the bipod and balances perfectly. Right at the target weight I wanted. The scope, for now, is a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 but will eventually put something else on it. I am still working on that aspect of this build. I can’t believe I have to wait until next week to shoot it.

Question about the suppressor. I looked on Diligent's website and it seems that it doesn't come with a way to actually attach it to the rifle. Is that correct? Do you have to purchase your choice of HUB attachment separately?

True statement. The DTF does not come with a direct mount. I just bought one of their 5/8x24 hubs. It seems stupid to not come with a hub.

Thanks. I have been looking at them as a possible option for my next can, but I don't want to have to purchase something separately just to use it.

Awesome build. Tell us about the load you’re hoping to hunt with.

That’ll do! I’ve played with smaller calibers, but this cartridge is still my favorite.

Then there are people like me that would rather not waste their money on a DT that I’m never going to use that is included in the MSRP of the can because I’m going to slap a QD hub mount of my choice on it.

Initially going with the 185gr TTSX/TSX for elk and bear. I have about 1100 185gr Fusions from Midway when they were discounted. I use those in my other 338Fed too. I have a lot of suitable powders too. A2230, CFE223, 8208XBR, Lever, H322 and more. I know I will find good loads with each bullet. I want to try the 210 Scirocco II as well when I find them.

Nice! I’m planning to use 200gr Speer Hot Cor’s in mine most of the time. I’d love to find those 185 Fusions!

Trying 200 grain hot cores as well in mine and just snagged a box of 200 grain trophy copper leftovers off of midway for 53 cents per bullet,I've currently got 200 rds of the 200 grain fusion and 2 bags of new starline brass to play with.
