My brother killed his with a 7 PRC and ELDX bullet. One shot at 320 yards. Bullet hit behind the shoulder bear spun around, bit at its shoulder and went down within 7-8 seconds or so.
My dad shoot his with a Barnes copper bullet out of a 338 a few days later. Bear was swiss cheese before it finally fell after 25 seconds or so.
Both ~9 foot coastal boars..
Not saying anything is better than the other, just my observations I figured I’d share.
