308 Win with 130 grain TTSX

Hi,
I decided to try a new load combo for CA deer (next year) and wonder if anyone has any experience with 130 grain TTSX's in a 308 Win? Tried to search this forum but didn't find anything. I've decided to save the Varget and 4064 i have on hand and experiment with IMR 3031. The ballistics look interesting for the round if i can find a group at 3K or better. 400 yards would be max range. Thoughts or experiences shared are welcome. Thanks, Jeff
TAC works for me in my 308 and other family members as well. Got up to 3285 fps but the 130 ttsx shoots best for me around 3180. I laugh when people say it's too light to use on large game . That bullet will go through a moose like butter and kill Like lightning. Only get into trouble when you don't watch your impact velocity, need to keep it above 2000

Yes
I’ve settled for a load around 3170 fps, for me using TAC (50.4 grains)
Out of a 20” barrel.
I had tried up to 51 grains and was getting averages out to about 3210 but I was not grouping well and was getting some pressure signs.
I may try up to 50.7 and see how that goes this spring but I’ve got a good proven load now and took a nice Buck (for me) at 270 yards this past fall DRT.

I recently did a lighter load ladder test on mine, and was definitely running a little bit on the slower side for my reloads. I'm newer to reloading so I'm definitely taking some baby steps on my charge weights. I'm thinking I might need to throw some more Varget at it if that's the powder I decide to stick with. I've recently put together a second batch of H4895 with the 130gr TTSX. Waiting for a non-windy day to go chronograph them.

Here are my results:

.308win 130gr TTSX
Hornady +1 Brass
Federal 210 Primer
Varget 44.0gr 2717fps avg
Varget 44.5gr 2713fps avg
Varget 45.0gr 2741fps avg

Not the 130gr, but I also tested some 150gr TSX's in my rifle as well. And it shoots them well through my cheap Ruger. 10-shot group came in right around 0.9moa - the only issue with these is my rifle hates feeding them.

.308win 150gr TSX
Hornady +1 Brass
Federal 210 Primer
H4895 44.0gr - avg 2811fps

Curious if anyone else has tested the 130gr TTSX with H4895. Hoping that the fast burning powder does better in my rifle.
