308 18" on Elk bullet selection

You have one of the better bullet choices for that combo imo, id probably just run with it. Others to look at would be tmks and elds if you want to explore.

Yeah, i'd run with what you've got and not worry a lick.

If a guy had to experiment with something else a 155 scenar would be tempting.

Your over thinking it. Elk is dead with that combo within the distance you mention. I would not change a thing.

Choice ammo 150g Accubonds out of my 16" suppressed R700 average 2765 FPS. 2 more inches should equate to 2800+ fps out of your 18". Good elk pills.
