Starting to plan out how to take 5.56/223 brass and make some 300BLK cases. What are some of the best processes & tools/jigs to ensure minimal trimming of the case after cutting it down? Help will be appreciated!!
Cheers

Most people use the mini chop saw from harbor freight or amazon, and then secure a jig to it. Google 300blk cut off jigs and you will find options from 3d printed to milled aluminum ones.

Unless you just have a lot of 223 brass you'd be money and time ahead buying it already converted or using a service.

The best way is to have a dillon trimmer setup.

I have the WFT from Little Crow Gunworks. I resize without the decapping pin in, trim and then I have a prep center I used to clean up the mouth. I am local to Dale and I drive within a mile of the shop on my way from work everyday so that may of swayed my purchase as well.

If I was going to do a massive amount I would get the DT1500 from Dillon, but for the price you can buy quite the supply.

For me it is cheaper to buy the ready processed brass, very reasonable cost and a lot less work, by the time you buy the needed equipment your ahead of the curve. And thats money that can be spent on bullets, powder and primers.

Buy new unprimed brass. When I started loading .300 blk, my biggest problem was when I learned how much brass (both 5.56 and .300blk) had crimped primers. F dealing with those. Buy 200 cases of virgin unprimed .300blk and you'll be golden

Get one of these, chuck up in a cordless drill and get after it.

Mini chop saw and a jig. But like most I just buy new brass or shoot cheap ammo and reload that. It’s a nice, cheap tool and skill to have in your arsenal for when times get tough however.
