New to reloading starting from starch. I have reloaded round that other have found the load for me

This gun will be for nrl hunter and targets

Looking at either the 215 hybrids or 185 juggernauts

Yes, in which bullet would be better

I’m also just learning that the biggest bullet is not always the best to go through the transonic range

IIRC @Karl B has a good bit of 300 wsm handloading experience.

I've got a 300wsm in the works and I have components but the barreled action in still at the smith so I haven't had a chance to do any load development yet.

Try both, and let the rifle decide. Thats the point of reloading- to figure out what’s best for your set up. Also try a few different powders. Not all rifles shoot the same loads the same

The 215's are an awesome bullet and I use it in my 30 Nosler, smoked a Nilgai last week with that combo. I wouldn't want the recoil of those in a 300wsm...I'd run the 185's first and see how those do before I jumped to the 215.

Barrel length? Action length? What magazines? Makes a big difference for bullet choice in a 300wsm.
