What kind of velocity are you getting with that recipe?64gr H4350 with 178gr ELDX.
Awesome!66 grains of H4350 gives me 3120 with 165 grain Tipped Game Kings. Lots of success, all the way out to 697 yards with this combo.
It's looking like 4350 is winning this opinion. If it works for you in Alaska, should do the trick here in Wyoming!H4350 and 175 LRX have worked well form me, and has been easy to find on the shelves, here in Alaska at least.
It worked on this moose two days ago…that and a couple 175 lrxIt's looking like 4350 is winning this opinion. If it works for you in Alaska, should do the trick here in Wyoming!
2920fps in a 20" proof barrelWhat kind of velocity are you getting with that recipe?
All the records are set with 4350....and that's what I use. fwiw.
What brass are you running?Pretty much what I use with 180 accubonds. Think I'm getting 2950 or so out of my 20" proof.
NoslerWhat brass are you running?
Ive only used RL 16 with good results with 180 accubonds at 2950. Curious about RL 17 tho… anybody have luck with RL 17?Curious if anyone has used both RL17 and RL16 in the 300 WSM and could speak to velocity and accuracy differences? This would be helpful to OP's original question
