300 WM or 300 WSM in a Tikka t3

Interesting thread, with an aftermarket magazine the 300 wsm seems to have an upper on the WM for hand loading longer, high bc bullets

I got a Tikka T3 Lite in 300 WSM. The differences besides ammo cost are negligible.

Great gun. Put a brake on mine. Loud, but cut the recoil of this lightweight mountain rifle alot.

I own both calibers, shot an elk with each, the WSM is my favorite!

I went with 300WM in my Tikka since I found a deal on a use done (light rifles in heavy hitting cartridges seam to be abundant in the used market around me). Shoots 200gn accubonds great and I’m playing with a few other bullet/powder combos just because. Sure you can’t load them extra long but I’ve found you don’t really need to (at least I don’t) to get good accuracy.
