165g accubonds are good as well as 168g ttsx.

My go to in my 300WM is the 200gr Partition, but I've been messing around with 200gr ELD-X and 180gr GMX. the ELD-X shoot great, haven't done anything with the 180gr GMX yet.

I purchased a 300 win mag used and it came with some rounds,
150 grain. What do you guys like to shoot.
The gun will probably only be used for bear and elk. It shoots good with the 150s but am thinking I should bump up to 180s. And suggestions?

When I owned and hunted elk with a 300winmag or a 300wsm I always used federal premium 180gr partitions. Never a problem providing they shoot accurately from your rifle. I started with a 270win in the early 70s, moved to a 30-06 a few years later, then to the 300 magnums, and currently have been using a 308win, again with federal premium 180gr partitions. I've a hankering to try the test bullets, but I have too many partitions at the moment.

I’ve been very impressed with 180 gn ttsx on bear and mule deer. I have to use non-lead in California but now I use the ttsx everywhere by choice.

165 grain or bigger well constructed bullet will do the job.

TSX, TTSX, Partition, A-Frame, Terminal Ascent, Accubond, E-Tip, GMX

Many people are having great success with "softer" bullets at extended ranges.
i.e. VLD, A-Tip, ELD-X, and ELD-M

Choose the bullet your rifle shoots best and know the limitations of that bullet.
