Currently running a swfa 3-15 sfp mil quad reticle on a tikka superlite

Thinking of changing up the swfa and putting it on another rifle. Haven't touched windage dial in ages and thinkng of dropping some ounces.

Realistic effective range would be 600 yards or so

Christmas tree reticle or dial for dope hold for wind ala ballistic turret and wind plex

Anyone have a Preference for say a swarovski brh or a zeiss rapid z-600 type reticle.

Thanks eh? Prefer a sfp scope so high end magnification would be 12 to maybe 15x

Have you checked out the Vortex Razor HD LH 3-15x42? Jared Bloomgren did a nice review on it. Just got mine on Monday (with the HSR-4 reticle) and first impressions were good.

Also, you can get custom turrets from Kenton Industries for it.

I have a Swaro Z5 3.5-18x44 on my 300WM Superlite. Granted, I went with the Ballistic Turrets and the 4W reticle

How much you swarovski guys spinning turrets? Any return to zero issues? 4.6 mills would get me to further then I'd hunt with but honestly seems a bit handicapping on a 300 win.

I've "heard" that most scopes get more error in erector travel as you push them towards their travel limit. Have you either of you guys tested this?

Is the 4w reticle set at max magnification? 18x seems a bit high for my needs.

The 4-12 z3 seems pretty sweet on paper for me, just can't decide on BRH or 4w and ballistic turret. The 46moa of travel sucks but not a deal breaker if I got brh

Thanks guys.. I'm not counting my pennies on this one, jus. Don't want to climb mountains for a week and wish I had something else once the shows over

I have not dialed past 350 on my 300wsm, my zero is 200. I can see what you are saying about being handicapped, but that will be personal preference. In all honesty, I would have to look at the rifle to even see how far it will dial to max it out, I just wasn't concerned with that I guess. I want to say it's around 600-650 yards maybe? It's further than I would ever shoot, at least for the time being.

I have had no problems with the z3 dial. But like I said, I haven't put it through its paces either... What I will brag about, is that it zeroed at 100 in 3 shots after a quick bore sight, then I had it perfect at 200 in about another 4-5 shots. I personally have never had a scope get to zero that easily. I was really blown away... The outdoorsman turret is also really nice and super simple to install/use.

I also have a buddy that has a VX6 that's a 30mm, it's a nice scope and has 3-18x range. I'm sure he gets more yardage out of his turret, it would be with looking at as well. For me, I am currently in the market for another rifle and have already decided it will be getting a z3, or maybe the z5 this time.
