300 win mag - factory load for elk, moose and bear

I use a 308 for my eastern whitetail hunting. My winter project is going to be putting together a 300 win mag for some more ambitious hunting I hope to do starting next year. I would like something a little more potent for moose, elk and bear in the future.

I am not a hand loader so am interested in factory loads. If I can get a few ideas from the crowd here I will see which one the gun likes best when I get it built.

I am not a long range precision guy. Looking at 400 yards or less. My preference tends to be bullets that are reasonably broadly available. They don't need to be at Wally World but I don't care for stuff so specialized you can only order from one place.

Don't over think it. Something shooting a 180gr accubonds, partition, Barnes etc is all you need. I shoot the critters you mention with a 308 using good bullets with no problems.

Buy some 165 grain Partition ammo for your 308 and save your money.

Big fan of hornady loads when I don't have time to work up a load! I've used the superformance or the American whitetail! Dropped plenty of elk with them
