Going custom ish from the get go..
Debating between a Rem700 action .. getting it squared and blueprinted or splurging and getting a lonepeak titanium

Kinda set on my choices for trigger / barrel etc

If you are having to purchase the action I would go with the lone peak titanium. Those are just awesome actions. If you could find a Christensen Arms TI Action that would work as well. I have 2 of their Ridgelines. They are not TI actions but they are holding .5 MOA so they can outshoot me.

This almost seems like a silly question! It is like - Should I buy a 1995 Ford F150 and put a lift kit on it, or buy a 2023 Ford Raptor??

I am in the party that will always vote a custom action over a worked 700. I have been down the 700 route, in my opinion no matter how much you work on them, they won't be as good as the custom action options.

I am in process of building one now. Waiting for the action. Mine is defiance and they have a 40 week lead time. Check that if time is a concern.

Custom is what I decided, this what I would recommend.

I went the same route and did Rem 700 action with Schneider #3 barrel, wish I would have done the titanium action in the long run for the money spent.

As others stated, If you have the R700 build on it. If not, go with a custom action.

Custom action without a doubt but with one caveat, do yourself a favor and avoid titanium at all cost!
If you want ultralight get an anTi, otherwise the ss lone peak razor is an awesome action

Check out Defiance Anti x actions. Lightweight and cheaper than Ti actions.

Decided on a kauger action… same one my 25 creed is built on

Will only save between 5-6 oz on titanium or anti vs the Kauger.
