All Bergers do Berger things…Do they hold together? Or shatter like the EOL?
Do you have a brake on it? My 300 prc is 22 inches, 10.8 pounds and pushing a 245 at 2775. The recoil is handleable for sure, but unbraked or suppressed would be a handful. I havent even wanted to try it.I own a 26” 300 prc and shoot 245 bergers over n570 at 2930 fps. It hammers at long range due to the very high bc and excellent accuracy. That being said, I would not want a light weight rifle in this combo as the recoil is significant, even with a muzzle brake. Mine current 300prc is 15lbs with a brake and is comfortable. My prior 300prc rifle was under 10lbs, with a carbon fiber barrel. While the light weight rifle was very accurate, it was challenging to maintain that accuracy due to the heavy recoil leaving no room for imprecise shooting set ups.
My 300PRC has been so easy to load for and boringly accurate that most of my other magnums stay in the safe nowadays. Endless bullet selection and three quality brass companies pumping out cases, lots to like.

Sounds about right. Maybe ill throw a 190 CX in for when something pops up less than 100 yards awayAll Bergers do Berger things…
You don’t need to worry about the 215’s and that includes up close.Sounds about right. Maybe ill throw a 190 CX in for when something pops up less than 100 yards away
If it holds together better than the 245 I'd be happy to just use one loadYou don’t need to worry about the 215’s and that includes up close.
Disclaimer: I am not the most well read on calibers.
I had a 300PRC built in 2020 as I felt it was the best combination of factory ammo options with upside for reloading. I have a 22" barrel, but am yet to throw a can on it. I have the TBAC Ultra 7 that I could use, but have been thinking about buying a magnus for it.
It had a very good brake, and the rifle wasn’t uncomfortable to shoot, but it moved enough under recoil that accuracy suffered without perfect shooting form and I was difficult to spot hits under about 600 yards.Do you have a brake on it? Mine first 300 PRC was 12# all up with a can. Not unpleasant to shoot - I even used it for a LR class and shot nearly 400 rounds in two days without issue. Your points about the recoil needing to be managed are spot on. I can spot impacts past 400-ish without issue, but my form and position had better be SPOT ON to do that. I could not imagine using one that is 7#'s more than once.I own a 26” 300 prc and shoot 245 bergers over n570 at 2930 fps. It hammers at long range due to the very high bc and excellent accuracy.
