We have an alternative season here for deer and most people run Black powder guns for it. I really cant stand to use black powder any more.

We can use Pistols also.
So This year I plan to put together a 300 Blk upper on a 7.5" Barrel.
I want to shoot subs....I think.
My daughter uses a normal 16" AR in 300 Black with supers and it shoots well and I have some loads figured out with it.
But haven't messed around any with Subs.
What are you all using for bullets with lower velocity that still expand and kill well?

Or am I better off running Supers with the Barns Tac TX that I already have

Makers 220 Rex would be my top choice. Requires a 7 twist to stabilize. They act similar to a broadhead. Discreet ballistics also has a bullet that works well.

Side question: what’s their definition of pistol? Could you basically use any AR with a <16” barrel and a pistol brace?
For it to be classified as a pistol it has to stay under 26" in length from Butt to the muzzle device that is not permanently mounted accessory.
So Buttstock to tip of flash hider has to be 26" or less.
Suppressor is not included in that measurement

300bo subs from this sweet little pistol. Suppressor was enjoyed and appreciated by all. Black Hills 198gr dual performance.
