I'd not heard about DD cans failing. Was it on magnum rifles? The can I purchase will only be on either a .308 AR or 300 BLK AR.
Not all magnums. I know Ryan Avery blew one up on a magnum

This thread is interesting. Has some good info. Few guys having issues with DD cans

At least it sounds like they're doing everything they can to make it right, which is refreshing. I've heard of accuracy issues with their cans on here recently but not total blowups 😬
RS is a tiny subset of suppressor owners. I see a lot more info on suppressors in other places. Good and bad.

It really seems like they are pushing their suppressors in predator hunting circles. This last year I see fairly well known predator hunters pushing the DD suppressors pretty hard.

What about the Noah vs WB? I only have one ar 11.5” and the rest are bolt guns. I’m waiting on the Noah now but curious about the WB for next time. Ive noticed your comments on the WB but the Noah is what was in stock this week. Currently in my area if you have a itch for something and it’s available you better jump on it. Could just be my area or my stores but that’s the way its been for a couple of months now. Also curious why the WB comes with 1/2x28 and Noah is 5/8x24? That just causes me to have to get a 1/2 plate which I’m used to by now. Just seemed funny since most 556/6mm cans come with 1/2. The thread comment was more just a thought not as much of a question. That would be a question for the manufacture. Thanks.
If it tells you anything, i bought the WB when i went to pick up my Noah. If doing just 1 gun, i'd go noah for extra performance and ability to shoot up to 6mm.

Thank you. While I’m sure I will try it on 223 bolt 6creed bolt and ar I’ll put it somewhere and leave it. Probably on the ar based on what’s been said. If the polonium does as well on the ar then I’ll probably leave the Noah on a bolt but it sounds like the Noah will beat out the polonium on a ar. Will see should be fun to see how it plays out. I’ll share my thoughts after they get here.

Currently I have a scythe on the ar so I guess that’s what it/they will be compared to fwiw.

To me thunderbeast is just like Nightforce scopes. They just plain work!

I’ve heard of multiple DD cans exploding and failures. I haven’t heard of TBAC cans failing. Also I think TBAC are very precise and good for precision rifles
I don’t disagree and I will someday own one. I plan to have a Wyoming rifle set up. Weatherby, Maven, and Thunderbeast. 307 all the way.

My only point is when it comes to data the TBAC stuff scores middle for some cans and close to top on others. In the category that the OP was asking 6-7” cans. The TBAC in the sound summit was close to 10-12 below DA or DD.

100% agree. WB is an awesome little can for a ar15's, it sounded better than the cobalt kenetics scrambler and mercy Minerva on an 11.5" last time I went out for short range time. Less gas too

After several days now, we have two contenders clearly on top, the DA Nomad Ti XC and the TBAC Ultra 7. When you look at their performance with both low and high pressure rounds, it would look to me like the Nomad is the clear winner. Is there any anecdotal evidence to support otherwise? It also appears to be the better choice for a gas gun, my only intended use, with their "enhanced two-stage coaxial baffle system with pressure-harnessing structures that regulate both low-pressure and high-pressure rounds". I understand the stellar reputation of TBAC. No question there. But looking at performance data only, I can't make an arguement to put the Ultra 7 on top for my purposes. Or, am I missing something?

I am fairly confident performance wise (sound) the nomad will win. It’s got much more volume and has newer tech (3D). That said, one thing to consider is can thickness and barrel length.

The nomad is a very thick can. There is a good chance with lower ring mounts you will see it in the scope. I have a 18” nomad LTI (I believe a little thinner but also a tad longer) that I can see in the scope and it kinda bothers me.

The ultra7 is a good amount thinner and likely to be less of an issue.

I went with the Dead Air Nomad Ti XC. It seemed to be the best choice for my application and use. Thanks for everyone's input! You definitely affected my decision.

Now for the amazing part...I already have it! I went down to my local dealer that had it in stock and bought it Monday evening. My paperwork was approved by Silencer Shop on Tuesday. I did an online joint session with the dealer through the Silencer Shop app and submitted the application to the FBI on Wednesday. It was approved on Thursday, TODAY! That's right...ONE DAY turn around with the FBI. Only three days for the whole process.

Pictured is my 300 BLK pistol and .308 Ruger SFAR, the two rifles that it will primarily be used on.

Let us know how it runs on a gasser, please. Want one for and 18" 6.5 creed. But; would like to use it on gassers on occasion too.

Yes, let us/me know how it does on the SFAR. I have a SFAR waiting in the basement and the Nomad upstairs! Lol. Just haven’t had time to put them together yet.

While not a fully flow through can, it should be somewhat better than some others. Unfortunately, I don't have anything else to compare it to. BTW, both of these rifles do have adjustable gas blocks, so will be dialing them down. Also, the SFAR does not have the original gas block. It now has an Aero Precision block that is much more adjustable. It also has a Radian Raptor-SD to help with gas dispersion.

Here's how DA advertises the Nomad Ti XC.

"Our Nomad XC series now features an enhanced two-stage coaxial baffle system with pressure-harnessing structures that regulate both low-pressure and high-pressure rounds."
