3 String Peep?

My wife wants to learn to shoot a bow... I bought her an draw length and weight changeable Bear bow as a starter to help her learn and get the poundage up.

It has a peep sight with the string split 3 ways around the peep. I am assuming this is to keep it in alignment better or ??

I am getting it set up for her and trying to sight it in. When you draw it back 1 or more strings (around the peep) are in the field of view. Is there something that you need to do to stop this or is this just the nature of the beast?

That's how they tend to work. I don't remember it being a big deal, but it's probably 20 years since I have used one, maybe longer.

I used one a long time ago. They can be a pain in the ass. I’d go with a different peep.

I dated the daughter of the guy that created it, is called a Shears peep. Meant for the purpose mostly for shootng with finger draw, if the string rolls when you draw it back you can still see through the peep.
