3 season Tents

Hello everyone, I’m looking to get a 3 season tent for archery and early rifle seasons. Latest use would be the end of October. What’s everyone using? Brands/ Models. Any info would be great.

Nemo Obi 2p, but they don’t sell them anymore. The Nemo hornet and big Agnes copper spur are pretty popular, but some other guys should be able to chime in

I too have a tarptent moment. It's going on its 7th season this year. For rougher weather I have a Big Sky Chinook 1plus. In this photo the Chinook is on the right (yellow) the Moment is on the left and it's some sort of Big A in the background. The Chinook is a true double wall, the Moment is a single wall, great for run-and-gun.




This one is the Chinook on the last day of archery season Colorado 2017.

I have run the Tarptent StratoSpire 1 for a couple of years. Lightweight and has been great in the wind and the rain.

marmot fortress 3p tent works well for 2 people in cooler/rainy weather (full coverage fly, dual vestibules, not really any mesh on the tent), but it's not necessarily light. I packed it in on my goat hunt though and thought it was a good choice.

I have two Big Agnes tents and really like them... now use a 2 man that's a touch heavy so eyeballing one of their ultralights. I'm 6'3" and >200 lbs so the vestibule and length of these are key. Plus free-standing is hard to beat.

I recently picked up a REI Quarter Dome SL 2. 2.5 pounds and lots of room for 1 guy and gear. I’m impressed thus far after two outings with it.

My Big Agnes Flycreek UL2 with a footprint weighs in at 41 oz. Room enough for me and my gear. I like a double wall.

I have a Kelty Salida 1 man tent. I think the trail weight is 3 lb. 6 oz. When I was shopping tents it seemed to have the best interior to weight ratio of the models I was comparing at campsaver.com and it was around $75 at the time. It does not come with a footprint but I an using the polycryo ground cloth from Gossamer Gear. It's a very thin but impressively puncture resistant clear piece of plastic that cost $9 for 2 sheets and it weighs nothing.
