I have these three bags/frames. I like parts of each but trying to figure which one I like best. None are perfect. The pop up frame is the most adjustable nut the bag is too small. I like the open design of the Pintler. but the bag is L/XL but the belt is M/L. The 2200 has the most space but I'm not crazy about how they handle their meat shelf, strapped to the back instead of in the middle, like the MR. Trying to decide which to keep and which to sell. I don't need all three or should I go a different route. I'm 6'7", weighing 275, without clothes. I solely saddle hunt using ropes (JRB). Thoughts?

Theres a guy on here selling just a pop up bag-only 38l or so. 1/3 bigger than yours. Could be a good option for you if thats your only complaint.

Apart from that, if it doesnt fit you…hard to say much without assuming all the bags fit you. What exactly is the fit issue with the pintler, only the hip belt or both hip and back length? When it comes to a load-carrying pack Id rather have a lesser pack that fit me, than a great pack that didnt fit. If you are looking for a load carrying pack it might be that your question should be: “you are 6’7”/275…what pack with X criteria fits you best”

Agree on the badlands “meat shelf”, no way putting much weight out there behind the pack bag is functional. If you are looking for a meat hauling pack that aint it.

Beyond that, not clear what you want.

You can put the pintler bag on the pop up frame. It may require changing out some buckles. And the meat shelf on the pintler is slightly too wide for the pop up frame, but it does work. Not sure if that helps or not. Thanks. -Rufus
